Flying car is in real now

Flying cars aren't just science fiction anymore. Woburn, Mass.-based Terrafugia Inc. said on Monday that its prototype flying car has completed its first flight, bringing the company closer to its goal of selling the flying.

The vehicle - dubbed the Transition - has two seats, four wheels and wings that fold up so it can be driven like a car. Last month, it flew at 1,400 feet for eight minutes. Commercial jets fly at 35,000 feet.It's expected to cost $279,000. And it won't help if you're stuck in traffic. The car needs a runway.

Incredible world's tallest tree house

The world's tallest treehouse, located in Crossville, Tennessee.Builder Horace Burgess took 11 years to build the tree house.Horace, who lives in the 10 story wooden house, said he begun the build in 1993.The enormous treehouse is a whopping 10,000 square feet but only cost Horace a reasonable $12,000 thanks to his thrifty use of recycled materials.

There are six trees supporting the tree house and it tooks 2,68,000 nails to put everyting together.Inside there are spiral staircases, a sanctuary, a choir loft, a basketball court, and countless rooms, walkways and balconies.

What does music look like ?

German artist Martin Klimas set out to answer the question "What does music look like?". In order to find out, he selects some music, puts splatters of different colours of paint on a translucent sheet over the diaphragm of a speaker and then turns up the volume.

The vibrations of the speaker send the paint up into the air, creating beautiful patterns and sculptural forms, and Klimas photographs the results. He typically chooses dynamic and percussive music such as Steve Reich, Miles Davis or Jimi Hendrix.

Giant Olympic Rings in River Thames London

A barge carrying a magnificent set of giant Olympic rings was launched on the London river to mark 150 days until the start of the Games.Measuring 11 metres (36ft) high and 25 metres (82ft) wide, the glowing display sailed regally through the city centre on a barge pulled along by a tugboat.

Amazing light graffiti of supercars

The images are the latest work of Marc Cameron and photographer Mark Brown. The duo are secretive about their exact methods but say they use a process of reflecting and refracting LED light to create outlines. Every detail of the vehicles is planned precisely before setting a camera on long exposure to catch the light painting. The entire process can take up to four hours.

Mrk Brown explains: “Using extended exposures I am able to step in front of the lens and paint with light using the camera as a canvas. Then I use real photographic components as a background for each of the light paintings. Nothing is digitally generated, only stitched together."
