Largest Amusement park of Asia turned into ghost park in China

From the outside it looks like the grim skeletal remains of a once magical castle, but in fact this deserted Chinese replica of Disneyland never opened its doors. What was meant to be ‘the largest amusement park in Asia’, had construction cut short over a decade ago after funding was withdrawn.

And now the ruins of ‘Wonderland’ sit in the middle of a 100-acre corn field, just a 45 minute drive from the centre of Beijing.Work on the potential tourist haven started in 1998 but was halted due to disagreements over property prices with farmers and the local government.

Now the farmers that used to own the land have returned to grow their crops once again, with the decaying building site filling the skyline.

Photographer David Gray visited the magical kingdom-turned-ghost park and said: ‘Pulling off the express-way and into the car park, I expected to be stopped by the usual confrontational security guards.

America's secret air base exposed by google satellite

Google has been accused of compromising U.S. national security - by allowing aerial shots of secret military bases to be viewed by the general public through its online Maps program.

The discovery of a hidden airstrip at Yucca Lake in Nevada, which is used for testing the R-170 drones similar to the one lost in Iran last week, has raised further concern.

Details of the airfield, including a parking lot, security perimeter and ongoing construction are clearly visible

The satellite image, taken in early 2011 and available on Google Maps

'Google is making public what was once the sole province of the military and intelligence community, making this a brave new world for the intel agencies as well,' Cedric Leighton told FoxNews.com.

Aviation website Flight Global claimed to have discovered the secret Yukka Lake venue, which shows satellite images of either a Predator or Reaper drone on the airstrip.

Eye catchy work of art by Mark Mawson : Aqueous II

Some people see huge fiery mushroom clouds like the results of an atomic bomb and others see toadstools - but these images are just splashes of paint dripped into water.

The creative 42-year-old has been taking pictures for 22 years but recently came up with his eye-catching method of creating the watery blobs. Mark, who specializes in shooting underwater scenes and people.

He takes different kinds of paint and drops them into a tank before snapping the outcome with his camera, using a strobe to light up the scene.

His works have caught the eyes of art collectors from as far afield as Hong Kong and Mark is hoping to turn his series into a new book.He said"I have had great responses. Viewers can see different things in them and interpret them for themselves".

When shooting, Mark needs to be quick with his camera-finger because the shapes last only for a split second. "It's a laborious process but worth it when you see the images," he added.

Korean building named The Cloud look like exploding twin towers

These incredible pictures show how Dutch architecture firm MVRDV somehow managed to design the eerie 260-metre and 300-metre towers next to each other, connected by a ‘pixelated cloud’.

And in a good contender for quote of the year, a company statement insists they did not ‘see the resemblance during the design process’ for the buildings - due to be completed in Seoul in 2015.

Dutch architects reveal plans for apartment towers in Seoul, South Korea. But they incredibly appear to look like World Trade Center exploding on 9/11.Company MVRDV says it didn't 'see resemblance during the design process'.

The most expensive superyacht ever, comes with a limousine on deck

This huge superyacht is so sleek you'd almost be forgiven for mistaking it for a floating limousine. This is no coincidence - the 'Sovereign' yacht is based on the design of a limo, and even comes with its own matching car.

And the vessel fit for a king could be yours, if you're willing to shell out a mere $132million - that's £85million.For that modest outlay, the happy owner also gets furniture designed by Armani, as well as a swimming pool and golfing green.

This picture shows the glass helipad and circling infinity pool which the lucky owner can enjoy

'We thought about a typical person on board one of these yachts and asked: how do they travel on land? Well - limousine,' company boss Eduard Gray told CNN. 'It's a very unique concept in the yacht world.'

The company claims that the boat's unusual design 'gives her an extremely low profile' - but a look at the yacht's extra features may suggest otherwise.

Sovereign's shape was inspired by that of a limousine, and it comes with a car of the same design

Designers Gray Design say the boat will be low-profile, but these computer-generated images may perhaps suggest otherwise

This 100-metre superyacht, which comes with an onboard garage

There is a glass helicopter pad, encircled by an infinity pool; 10 guests suites as well as the extensive main quarters; a private cinema; and a nightclub area which epitomises 'elegance and class' - according to Gray Design, at least.

The architects are also installing a golfing green, which can be converted into a god play area for an owner who preferred playing with pets to playing sport. And of course there's an onboard garage, to store the matching limousine which is an optional extra, or whatever other car the owner feels is necessary to zip around the decks.

Armani are said to be involved with designing the ship's interior furnishings

The yacht goes up to a maximum of 30 knots - fairly nippy for a vessel of this size, but perhaps a little disappointing for real petrolheads hoping to transfer to seafaring.

Google office in london looks like big brother house

Google needs its engineers to come up with brilliant ideas, and to help them do that apparently a work environment like the Big Brother House will do the trick.

The search giant’s London headquarters in Victoria covers three floors, but last week some of its 350 staff began using a revamped engineering floor - called L4 - that has to be one of the trendiest in the world.

Meeting rooms feature strange angular sofas, the corridors look like the inside of the starship Enterprise and the workers can play pool and video games during their breaks.

Nelson Mattos, Google’s Vice President of Engineering, said: ‘We hire the brightest and best engineers in the UK and put them together in a highly creative, relaxed and exciting environment.’
